Redmi Pad 2 will be unveiled in India soon and the company is now teasing the launch as well as some of its key specifications. The second generation of the Redmi Pad is teased to come with a bigger, brighter display, longer battery life, and a thinner, lighter build. The existing Redmi Pad was unveiled in India in October 2022. The tablet comes with a MediaTek Helio G99 chipset, an 8,000mAh battery, and a 10.61-inch 2K screen with a 90Hz refresh rate.
Xiaomi teased the India launch of the Redmi Pad 2 in a recent X post while both Amazon and Xiaomi have set up a landing page for the tablet. Meanwhile, a banner on the Flipkart app hints that something big will be revealed on June 5. It is likely that Xiaomi may unveil the new tablet or just some of its details, like the design and key features.
The tablet will likely be available for purchase in the country via Amazon, Flipkart, the Xiaomi India website, and possibly select retail stores. The global teaser for the Redmi Pad 2 suggests that the tablet will 4G connectivity. It is teased to come in blue and grey colour options.
An older leak hinted that the Redmi Pad 2 could get the MediaTek Helio G100 Ultra chipset and a 9,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging . It will likely offer an 8-megapixel AI-backed rear sensor with an f/2.0 aperture and a 5-megapixel front camera.
Redmi Pad 2 is tipped to have an 11-inch 2.5K (1,600x2,500 pixels) display with a 90Hz refresh rate. It is expected to pack quad speakers with Dolby Atmos and will likely sport a 3.5mm headphone jack along with a USB Type-C port.
The 4GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB RAM and storage configurations of the Redmi Pad 2 are expected to be priced at EUR 229 (roughly Rs. 22,000) and EUR 279 (roughly Rs. 26,000), respectively, in select European markets.
